Before you shop our ecoshop, read this

Before you buy something from our ecoshop, ask yourself this question: do I really need this?

The irony of minimal to zero waste products is that it promotes consumerism which is the main contributor to our planet's destruction. The real solution to our growing plastic waste problem is to buy less and use what you already have. We only want you to buy what you really need from our ecoshop, and will offer homemade ideas throughout our family's own minimal to zero waste* journey.

But if you do have a real need for something you can't find at home or borrow, we recommend you opt for earth-friendly alternatives that are all-natural, toxic-free, plant-based, cruelty-free, upcycled, recycled, reusable, recyclable, biodegradable, and best of all, compostable, leaving minimal to no trace of human activity behind so that nature and wildlife can flourish. This is where our ecoshop comes in.

There are many other ways you can remain a minimal to zero waste household. Here are 10 we live by:

This list is fairly self-explanatory and the general idea is simple but needs to be reiterated: the less stuff you buy, the less waste is produce, the better it is for the planet. But if you do have to buy, make sure it's reusable and can last you a long time, biodegradable if not compostable, or as a last resort, recyclable (as long as you practice good recycling etiquette). Making these small changes at home may just help reverse the damages we've caused Mother Earth. Will you join the transition?

*Why "minimal to zero waste"? While we aim to be a zero waste family, our current situation makes it a little bit hard to achieve that so we tend to follow minimal waste methods instead. However, through this journey, we hope to figure out ways for our family to be zero waste and will reveal our findings in the process.
